This one goes out to the Italian Battalion.....(SW) How to Tune: 6th string (thickest one): Tune it half a step down, ie, one fret. That way, if you play it on the 6th fret, it will match the 5th string (if the latter is still in standard tuning; this carries through the rest of my descriptions. Once all the strings are in the alt tuning, these particular relations won't apply). 5th string: Tune it half a step up, again, that's one fret, but up this time. Play it on the 4th fret, it will match the 4th string. 4th string: stays the same. 3rd string: tune it a full step down, ie, two frets. Play it on the sixth fret, and it'll match the second string. 2nd string: tune it half a step down, again, one fret. Play it on the 6th fret, it'll match the 1st string. 1st string (thinnest): just like the 6th string, you tune it from E to a D#, half a step down. So, obviously, the 6th and 1st strings should be in tune together.
