Capture Squad
"Warrants, Whiskey & Wisemen" EP
Recorded early 2006 at Goodmoon Studios

This EP was taken from the last sessions at Town Park before Goodmoon Studios moved to the basement in Acworth. Town Park was a one bedroom apartment where my wife and I lived along with our two dogs when we first moved to the Atlanta area. These songs were written right before Delta Company formed and right after the Capture Squad album "Welcome to my Dream Job".

DOWNTOWN

A song about change and the dreaded distance between me and the downtown music scene. Like there was some sort of outward defense and if there was a breech in security I would be first on the front line.

BLOWN

This one's my swift kick to the nuts of corporate America. It's something I never wanted to take part in but I have and I deal with it.

CURRENCY

A break from the rock songs. You can hear my dogs fighting over a bone. I thought it was great timing.

NOTICE

An anti-love song. The main character doesn't wear his heart on his sleve, he keeps it tucked far away from the things that could hurt him.

SLEEP

A Saturday hangover song written after a great Friday night of partying. A struggle with one's self to do the right thing and stay in or go back out the next night.

TRAVELIN' PAINS REVISITED

An instrumental version of "Travelin' Pains" which first appeared on Capture Squad's "Welcome to My Dream Job" as a stripped down slow song but later was revived for Delta Company's first album "Mississippi Death".
