All the good stories start with an ending... so that's where we'll begin. The Dig, a virtually unknown band from the Mississippi delta, broke up in 2002 when their guitarist/bass player (H2) moved to Chicago and left the three remaining members wondering "what's next?" 3PCO? A project that released a couple of EPs and one full length before their guitarist/co-founder (JAM) moved to Atlanta.

Meanwhile, local Atlanta favorite Passerby were enjoying a hint of success playing the local underground scene when their lead singer (Double A) met JAM and started tossing around the idea of forming an band. JAM's solo collective, Capture Squad - frequently comprised of H2 and fellow musician/friend JTM plus several other rotating members, was putting the finishing touches on their 10th independent release "Welcome To My Dream Job" via JAM's one bedroom apartment/digital 8-track dubbed GOODMOON STUDIO.

Soon after the release of "Welcome To My Dream Job" (2005) Double A and JAM started jamming frequently in his new basement/recording studio. JTM and H2, both living in Illinois at the time, were down to record the follow-up to “WTMDJ” when the idea of Delta Company arose.

Over the next year they worked at harnessing the charisma and strength of the new line up. With the distance a challenge their recording time was limited.  So they made the most of what they had, sometimes recording for 15 hours straight thru the night. Demos were sent around and they had gained a nice size following without even playing a gig by the time their first alubm "Mississippi Death" was ready.

Delta Company hit the streets and played several shows from November ‘07 until July 2008. During the 9 months of gigs they worked diligently on their sophmore follow-up debuting several at the last few shows.  The new batch of songs incorporated more piano and keyboard/organ into the mix (supplied masterfully by Steve Keys - who played piano on Real Life off of “MS Death”).

Later that summer two EP's were released. "Wings of Fire" is a compilation of B-sides and early recordings. It included Gamblin', a bluesy staple of their live shows and Satan vs the Snowman, a fan favorite as well. The "Live and Loaded" EP was recorded during the last "Mississippi Death" recording session. It's exactly as the title explains... recorded live at around 3AM and contains several rompin' covers and older material.

By February 2009 "Shake on the Lake" had taken shape and saw release via ME Records. The songs were more polished than anything that had surfaced so far thanks to the tasteful mastering of JBuecker.

Work started on Delta Co's third album in the summer of 2009.
